About.

Jacob Holiday is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter from Saint John, N.B., in Canada. When he was younger, he developed a love for Classic/Neotraditional Country and Bluegrass Music.

He began his solo career in 2017 when he was 16 years old and has since appeared on local variety television, country music jamborees, and performs as a busker in summer. With his bari-tenor voice and a guitar around his neck, he's keeping the Honky Tonk sound alive. He is highly influenced by artists including The Carter Family, Hank Williams, George Jones, Buck Owens, and Dolly Parton.

Jacob also has developed a rapport for younger audiences as a Prince for "Perfectly Royal Princess Parties." This local startup, founded by Grace Finlay, gives children the chance to meet fairy tale royalty through storytimes, tea parties, princess dance lessons, and sing-alongs. â€‹

Currently, Jacob has two original singles on iTunes and Spotify. In 2018, he unveiled a physical-only release EP called, "Jacob Holiday Sings The Carter Family" as a musical tribute to Mother Maybelle Carter. He has plans to release a full-length album of original work soon. â€‹

When he's not at a gig or open mic, he enjoys spending time with friends, listening to records, or writing news stories. Jacob attends St. Thomas University in Fredericton, N.B. to receive a Bachelor of Arts with concentrations in Journalism and Music.

He hopes to travel to Nashville to perform inside the Honky-Tonks of Music Row and Lower Broadway.

"With any luck," Jacob said, "I'll get on the Grand Ole Opry."
